First blog ever

This is the most exciting thing I've done all day! My very own blog... I couldn't be prouder. I tried to make it look cool with the stars and everything. Hope everyone likes it.

The name 'Tiny Flashing Dots' refers to what I see when I close my eyes. I'm not sure what qualifies that as a good title for a blog, but I figured if the description is going to hint to the similarities between the folks that read it and me, then I could name it something that will at least get us closer faster. Maybe. If you don't see tiny flashing dots when you close your eyes, you can still read my blog. Than you can see tiny flashing dots with your eyes open! Perfect!

As to the description of what the blog will be about, let me go ahead and take care of the things I mentioned at the top. My favorite band, dish, airline, and bar are, respectively, Tool, Eggs Benedict, Southwest, and Milo Butterfinger's (Dallas, TX).

An interesting observation I have for today is that I don't believe anyone underlines book titles anymore. I haven't seen a book title underlined since grammar school where they told me that was the proper way to do it. I am currently reading The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, and when I wrote about in my journal the other day, it just looked weird.

The hateful rant I have for everyone today involves the self-check line at the grocery store. If the attendant is gone or occupied and the machine detects an "unexpected item in the bagging area", it will not allow me to continue. This leaves me to watch enviously as the other shoppers with real cashiers move quickly through their lines and out the store to continue with their day. If I ever come across the person(s) responsible for this operation the check-out machine follows, rest assured that I will beat them mercilessly with a pillowcase full of doorknobs.

I don't believe every blog will have each of those topics covered, but it is the very first and I thought I'd go all out. Goodnight everyone..
